Here's Whats Been Said About Model T
The CitySearch Editorial Review
The Scene
A hodgepodge of young, and old ball-cap-wearing regulars prop up the bar and belt out tunes. There's not much atmosphere here, so your best plan of attack is to pick a song and order a drink. You can always slip out the back door if the music gets too loud.
The Draw
"Don't rain on my parade" sing the regulars at this ragtag but completely down-to-earth drinking hole that proves that there is a place in Atlanta's gay nightlife for everyone. Order an American beer, chalk up a pool cue, or play the Georgia Lottery, or just hold your own on one of the padded bar stools. For those nights when your flaunt falls flat, and a baseball cap, blue jeans and some off-pitch show tunes set the tone, head to this place.
Look Good
Drop the attitude--it's completely lost here, and no one wants to see it.
Know Before You Go
There's something about Model T that makes it an ideal locale to drown your sorrows after a painful breakup.

9/04/2007 - The Claremont, MJQ, and now the Model T. What do they all have in common? They are all on Ponce de Leon, one of Atlanta's most colorful Avenues. Located on the ground level, of Ford Factory Square, this little neighborhood bar, has one of the best jukeboxes anywhere. It features Etta James, Louis Armstrong, the Beatles, and some of today's best can be found on this satellite box. Don't see the artist, just log it in, and the box will find it. The main draw. is some of Atlanta's best known character's in the Gay/Lesbian community. But you will find everyone here. The college guy looking for the perfect lady of the evening, the Drag Queen looking for her next gig, or even Blondie in between her shows at The Claremont. Jill, the owner, is a one of a kind mother to everyone.
05/30/2007 - I visited last Friday and had a great time. The drag show that was on at the time was tooo much fun. The "girls" put on really good show and the best part is they did old songs from the 70's and 80's. I am going back with some more friends, it is a fun little bar with some cute guys.
